She received her Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education from the University of Rochester. She teaches four courses on school counseling at Rowan and is always passionate about advising and mentoring students to ensure her students feel empowered during their graduate studies. Her research interest lies in understanding and serving the needs of international students who pursue counseling training in the U.S., as well as School Counseling in the Era of Generative AIs.
Prior to joining Rowan, Dr. Wang was a therapist at the Community Counseling & Mediation, a NYC non-profit agency that serves a diverse clientele. She also worked as a school counselor in Massachusetts.
